There is a certain beauty that comes from ALL
It’s hard to put into words, that critical, but diminishing communication tool, the real value of a life.
The wonder of a life.
The wonder that is a life.
For, in fact, every life is wonderful.
Long.
Short.
Dramatic or drama-free
And eternal spirits get a chance to “do life”.
To embrace the sack that is skin
To jump across finish lines in the sack race that is our temporary life.
Wearing different masks, playing different roles
In this game called "Life".
But when you step back and take a look at it ALL
It makes you long, even more, for The Reunion.
That grand eternal hi-five
Where stories will be swapped without words
Where each input and its contribution to the larger whole is more clearly seen.
And while, in the now, there is some grief and some pain
Some loss and sorrow in a life's passing
From the grand scheme of things, the Eternal Soul that is all souls really says:
“See how wonderful you made the game, with your play!”
“See how wonderful you made the game, with your play”!
But the sack confines you, its fibres binding
Its false reality shaping your view of what reality is
In every jump, in every strain and in every bit of resistance
As the eternal soul strains against a confining body bag…
And within those confines, before the game's finish line is crossed
With loss, tears fall.
Understanding is limited.
The bigger picture is hard to see.
The never-ending connection remains blurry still
We lose the understanding that we are all part of one whole.
Temporarily, we forget the clues left in the book of Wisdom
Where in Ecclesiastes, it is said: “The spirit goes back to God who gave it”
In reality, in the "end" of a life, the sack is left behind
And then we are united again with the Perfect complete whole
With Love, with Reality, with unburdened wholeness
Adding to the perfect tiny collective stories that make for a beautiful larger whole.
Adding to the Perfect, tiny collective stories that make for a beautiful larger whole.
For every life is perfect in its imperfection
Every soul valuable whether it is known or unknown within the context of the game.
Every smile, every tear, every scream of pain
Every bit of anguish, every cry of ecstasy, every sorrow, every confusion
Every sliver of fear, every mischievous chuckle, every little bit
ALL contributing to the the larger whole.
And the Eternal Spirit bends over a life that may feel it is nothing
That feels it has done nothing,
That was short
That was on Earth for, perhaps, a few minutes
And the Eternal Spirit will say
In ways that are more powerful and more profound than words can ever capture:
“See how wonderful you made the game with your play”
“See how wonderful you made the game with your play”
